Paula Whittle, Chair of Trustees

Paula Whittle
Paula has strong experience in strategic planning, policy and influencing, change management and HR. Now retired, Paula was previously Chief Executive of two large FE/HE Colleges and has been an Ofsted inspector. She brings strong experience of working with business and government departments on skills strategies and is deeply committed to ensuring the highest quality of delivery.

Judy Baker OBE

Judy Baker
A Trustee of Dyslexia Action for 6 years.   Judy has established and shaped several new organisations. Her roles have ranged from senior civil service to CEO and Chair of the Board.  In 2010 she set up Cyber Security Challenge to plug the cyber security skills gap.   A not for profit, running on sponsorship, it delivers competitions to attract and inspire talented people and nurtures newcomers through its cyber camps, mentoring, universities and schools programmes.

Andy Gregson

Andy Gregson
Andy is a qualified accountant who began his career in professional services with PwC and Accenture. He has since held a number of senior finance roles, including as a Chief Administration Officer, at financial services organisations including UBS, RBS and Deutsche Bank. He has over 25 years of operational and change management experience. Andy is now a Partner and Head of Management Consulting at Leathwaite International, a global business-infrastructure specialist delivering executive search, interim recruitment, market intelligence and management consultancy.  

Aktar Somalya

Aktar Somalya
Aktar has worked at a number of technology & communication companies including Cable and Wireless, Virgin Media, BT and Orange, and most recently was Director of Product Marketing at Skyscanner.  He has strong experience in product management, innovation and development, marketing, customer insight and pricing, having begun his career as an engineer transferring new technologies into global manufacturing businesses. As well as having expertise in Lean / Agile product development, he also has a number of financial qualifications.

Paul Webb

Paul Webb
Paul is a corporate lawyer and partner at Goodman Derrick. He advises companies, funds and entrepreneurs in relation to transactions such as equity fundraising, M&A and joint ventures. He has particular experience of advising clients in relation to cross-border transactions, and in respect of governance issues. He heads Goodman Derrick’s technology sector group, and regularly speaks on legal and commercial issues of interest to technology companies and entrepreneurs.
